Great-Grandpa Avery made a new friend in Camden by showing him a big red tractor out at his house. At first Camden thought he wanted to ride it but changed his mind when he got in. He did know that the tractor was making hay bales thanks to a movie called "Here Comes a Tractor" that he purchased for $.50 at a garage sale two weeks ago. He watches it multiple times a day and is now very knowledgeable about tractors! Like any boy he really likes anything that has an engine and moves including cars, trucks, trains, airplanes, tractors...

Noodle Nose
Camden had a interesting dinner tonight~ we had spagetti, an all-time favorite of his. While he was eating he kept itching his nose, sniffing, and saying "There's a bugger in there". After getting up from the table and sneezing, he continued to complain about his nose so being the brave mom I am, I looked in his nose, saw a rather large bugger and proceeded to get it out for him. It was the longest bugger ever~ a spagetti noodle! I don't know how it got there but luckily we removed it before too much time had passed. After being totally grossed out, we laughed for a long time and teased Camden calling him "Noodle Nose".

Camden and the Potty
Camden has been using the potty chair the past three days and has done better each day! So far today he has not gone in his pull-up, even after his nap! I guess bribing with chocolate is working :)

Zoo
We went to the zoo this past weekend and saw the stingrays for the first time. Camden was a little apprehensive to touch them but he liked watching them swim by. Clayton rode the carousel for the first time on a seal. Camden was on a Cheetah. Camden also got to sit in the conductor's seat of the train--he loves trains and asks to drive by the train station by our house everyday.

Clayton Baby Dedication
On Mother's Day our church celebrated Baby Dedication. We were one of 60 families that participated over the four services.
After each family was introduced to the congregation, the extended family and friends came up and prayed over the babies. "Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:5~7
Best Buddies
Camden has really been paying lots of attention to Clayton the past month or so. He has finally realized he has another audience member to laugh hysterically at his antics and silliness. He talks to him, gives him toys, and even plays with him from time to time. When Camden realizes he isn't in the room, he asks where he is or what he is doing. If I tell him Clayton is sleeping his reply is "I'll go wake him up!" I guess he misses him!
Brother Bathtime
Clayton 6 months
Clayton Avery is six months old! He is a hefty 21+ pounds and has his first tooth. He sits up unsupported really well and I think he is happier now that he can. He is getting up on his hands and knees like he wants to crawl also. You can tell he is envious of his big brother running around playing and wants to join him. He eats baby food three times a day and loves every bit of it! He is such a good, happy baby boy.
Outside
The boys have been spending lots of time outside. We have been playing outside nearly everyday mostly because Camden begs from the time he finishes breakfast until dark. He is a true boy loving digging in the dirt, spraying the hose, playing in the sand and water table, throwing and sorting rocks, sticks, and leaves, driving his car, going down his slide headfirst, playing baseball, riding his big bike, and chasing Zoe.
Clayton enjoys being outside as well although he does not like the grass. The first time I set him down in it, he kept patting it with his hands while he had a disgusted look on his face. It was quite funny since we are so used to seeing a big smile.
